Look Incredile Beauty Box December 2015

This is one of the boxes I have decided to get instead of Glossybox and Birchbox.  This is the Lookincredible box from Smartzprice.com and it is a tad more expensive at £18.99 rather then around £15. But as far as i am aware all 5 of the products are always full size and a little more high end mixed with high street. And to me it just feels like more or a treat. Also i think everyone gets the same products which is nice, none of that feeling like you have the dud box! So onto what was in Decembers box.

BareMinerals Deep Cleansing Foam Cleanser
I have actually been really enjoying this cleanser. I was a bit afraid to use it at first as, even though it says it is a non-drying foaming cleanser, all foaming cleansers I have used in the past have seriously dried out my already dry skin even more. But this really does not do that, if anything I would say it has actually been helping to eliminate my dry patches and leaving my skin lovely and smooth.

Liz Earle Eyelash Curlers
I have used these once of twice but honestly I never see the difference when using eyelash curlers as my lashes have a natural curl and mascara makes that curl even more on its own. These seem nice though and they did not hurt like some curlers can.

Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes Mascara
I really enjoyed using a sample of the Lights, Camera, Lashes by Tarte, it made my lashes look like false lashes it was amazing. And this does too, my eyelashes have never looked so amazing as they do when wearing this.  However there are a couple of things I am not keen on with this. 1. The brush has different bristles on each side, you used the short ones first and the long ones second, which is great but I fine I am staring at the brush for a good while trying to work out which one is which (honestly there is not much difference between the two) so it would have been helpful if they had marked it in some way. 2. It is so hard to get off, my cleanser that usually takes of all of my make-up does not even touch this, I find lots of coconut oil does the trick but it is a bit of a pain.

I am really into grey tones at the moment in respect to the beauty world.  And this is just the perfect  grey polish and Nails Inc is one of the only polishes that do not chip like crazy on my nails.

L'Oreal By Blake- Blakes Pure Red
Honestly I have not used this yet, reds do not really suit me all that much so I have stayed away from this. I will try it at some point though as i really liked the Model Co. red lipstick from Birchbox. This is a nice pure red though which Im sure a red lipstick wearer would really appreciate. I can say though that I do really like the L'Oreal lipsticks, first the smell is amazing and the formula of them is really lovely and comfortable on the lips.

Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss
When I opened I was like 'Oh my gosh a brown gloss, this will not suit me at all' but when it is applied to the lips it is not brown at all but just makes my lips look crazy full and plump. I also really like wearing this over lipsticks to add a nice bit of shine. And especially over really drying liquid lipsticks, I know it defeated the object of having a matte lipstick, but it is really hydrating on the lips and just adds that little something special. I really, really enjoy this lip gloss, and I am really not a lipgloss girl... maybe now I will be. 

Glossybox December 2015 Product Review

                                       

I really enjoyed this months Glossybox, which was put together by ReallyRee. I have gotten a lot of use out of all the products and while i do not love all of them, most have been lovely. However this will be my second to last Glossybox as i have signed up to two different subscriptions that while they are a bit more money they offer better brands and full size products and all in all they feel like more of a treat then Glossybox does to me.

Talika photo hydro day

I have been using this in the mornings and while I think it would be lovely for normal/oily skins for my dry/dehydrated skin it just is not hydrating enough for me and my skin feel tight about 5 minutes after applying it

Etre belle caviar eye roll on

I actually really like this product,  I have been using this in the morning and I love the feel of the cool ball on my undereye, the product feels nice and leave my undereye looking bright, im sure it has some gold flecks in which help in the brightening. It is also really lovely to use under make up and makes my concealer look soo much nicer. However in the few weeks i have been using this I do not feel like it has any lasting affects, just instant.

Essence liquid lipstick - Show off!

I do not like anything about this, first for me it is just more of a pigmented lip gloss then a liquid lipstick and it transfered like crazy, also this colour does not suit my skin at all, its a orangy red which lets face it is not a good match for procelian skin.

                                      
                                      

So Susan statement skin highlighting crayon - Star light

I love this! This product is what i was hoping the Benefit watts up! highlighter would be. its is a gorgeous champange colour which is perfect on my skintone and its blends so easily and it just a gorgeous looking highlight on  my skin.

Collection long lasting nail effects - Strawberry Gold

I was really dissapointed with this at first, in the bottle I hate the colour. But I thought I would give it a go any way, as is the point of these boxes, and its a really pretty colour. While it looks like a brown gold in the bottle on the nails it is a pretty pink/purple gold. It really didnt last too long on my nails though, it started to chip within the day.

Star skin brightening bio- cellulose second skin facial mask
This was really, really nice to use. I loved that the actually mask was a gel like fabric rather then the normal thick paper like fabric. It stayed on my face really, really well and just felt so nice and cooling and refreshing on the skin.  When i took this off my skin had absorbed most of the serum, so i must have had very thirsty skin. This did leave my skin very velvety and soft which felt lovely when i woke up. A lovely Christmas eve pamper indeed.

I did really enjoy my Birchbox this month, and the bag it came in for me is a much nicer idea, however this is also a subscription i have decided not to continue for the time being.

Ciate mini - Pool Party

This is a really pretty summery shade, a shame it was in a christmas birchbox but nevertheless it is pretty. However this just doesnt suit me at all, i feel it just isnt right for a cool porcelian skin tone.

Benefit puff off eye cream

This applys really nicely and does hydrate my eyes well, i dont feel it really does anything for my dark circle and as i dont get puffy eyes i cant really account for that claim.

Benfit they're real push up eyeliner

I have a funny love/hate with this product. Firstly i do love the applicator, it really does help get a nice line however i first bought a full size of this earlier this year and had a the same problem as most other people were the product takes a long time to come up then when it does there is far too much and you end up with loads of wasteage. Then my partner treated me to the Benefit cheeky blush palette which has a sample size of this in and it works perfectly, just the right amount of product comes up each time and such i have fallen in love with it. This sample however was horrible, the tip is so such more floppy then it normal is and for the life of me i could not get the product up.

Embryolisse lait-creme concentre

I am really enjoying using this product, it is really this and hydrating. I have been using this at night and have been waking up with super soft velvety skin in the morning, i think im quite going to miss this when it runs out.. im not sure its too different from other rich creams to purchase it though.

Model co lipstick - Smitten

I really, really like this lipstick, this deep red is the type i feel suits my skin tone most.
                                
Rituals Shower Foam
I love, love the smell of this. And I do adore the Rituals shower foams, I always feel so nice a pampered after using them, although i do feel they are a bit expensive for what they are making them a real treat.

Weight Loss Journey - Week 1

Following being bed bound for 18 months, comfort eating, learning to live independently again, now comes the weight loss. I have lost a stone and a half and one dress size since becoming active again, but the journey doesn’t end there. I gained a fair amount of weight while being immobile and of course i would like to lose it again. So…

We have tried going full bang from the start and its not worked for us at all so we are trying baby steps. This months goal is to drink only water and to walk for 30mins a day.. no matter the weather. I also have my own personal goal and that is too eat 3 meals a day, and to get out of the mind set that not eating will equals weight loss.. it did in my teens, it doesn’t in my mid-twenties.

Hopefully one day i will feel confident enough to post pictures.. right now.. not so much.
