Cohorted Black Beauty Box February 2016

I'm not overly excited by this months box, I have actually quite disappointing when I opened it up and saw the contents. For a normal beauty box it would be great, but for what they promise and the impression they give of their boxes, it just isn't great. I also much, much prefer the look incredible box, which does what cohorted is supposed to do,   for that reason i have for now unsubscribed from this box, next months will be my last as i have already paid for it.

Elemis Pro Collagen Hydra-Gel Eye Masks - £15
When i first saw this i thought it was a sample sachet. It still is not technically a full size product as they come in a pack of 6 for £45. But after trying these i really enjoyed the feeling of them, im a bit young for anti-aging skincare so in that respect i didn't notice them doing anything, they just felt really, really good.

BareMinerals Night Treatment - £45
This product is mad, and i'm still not sure i understand it. It is supposed to reduce the appearance of pores (i don't really have big pores), improve luminosity and deliver increased cell turnover. The latter two i am really excited about.  This is the shade medium, which while in a night time product this is not an issue i have noticed that all the 'base' products they send are in a medium shade which is another reason for me unsubscribing as i have porcelain skin. I have only used this once so i can't say weather or not i have noticed a difference in my skin but i can say that the brush is wonderful, it applys and feels nice on the skin and thankfully it does not make me look like a oompa lompa. But this is a product i think i will introduce into my night time skin care.

Dover Underarm Cream £20?
We were supposed to get the pixie crayon combo but the delivery did not arrive to them in time. This was another product that made me disappointed in the box, Again it wouldn't be in any other box but along with their promises it is. Also i dont really have a use for this, so that makes it kind of redundant for me

Cargo Long Wear Lip Gloss £10.00
Again, i know im sounding like a negative nelly here, but this is another product i was not excited about. I have never really enjoyed anything i have tried from cargo, plus it is bright red and sticky on the lips. I did try it and while the colour was not as bad on me as i thought it would be, the gloss did come away from the center of my lips very quickly.

Marc Jacobs Lola perfume sample
I actually enjoy this, I know a lot of people do have issue with perfume samples, but honestly, i love them. I'm a perfume girl through and through and the more scents i have in my collection the  better, no matter what size they are. I have a cute little jar that i keep all my samples in so this has gone straight into that.

Chanel Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow £25
This was the main product this month and i am in love. The product itself is pretty fascinating to me because it bounces like a sponge. The colour is just gorgeous and while it is a little dark for me personally as a eye shadow, the product and brush it came with work perfectly as a eyeliner and i rather enjoyed using it as so.

What did you think of this months box?

Look Incredible Beauty Box February 2016

I am so excited by this months box, it has some brands in that I love, or have wanted to try for a long time. Everything is red themed, I'm not sure if this was on purpose for valentines day but it sure does fit.

Fusion Beauty Illumicover Concealer - £16.50
This is actually the only brand I have not heard of in the box, but I was excited to see this as I love the YSL touche eclat and mine is a lot older then it should be.  It took a long time for the product to come up, and even though it is in the shade light it is quite orangy. It is very hard to blend due to the dry consistency, far too dark for me, and also it has such a strong perfumed scent that I am finding to be a bit irritating on my under eye. An exciting product as first but unfortunately mine has turned out to be quite the dud.

Nars Single Matte Eyeshadow - Grenadines - £18.00
I have been wanting to try something from Nars for the longest time, but I have never known what to choose and so have not bit the bullet. So I am super excited to see a nars product in this months box. Im not usually a fan of red eye shadows, but this colour is super pretty. As expected the eye shadow is super smooth, buttery, blendable and pigmented. And much more of a wearable colour then I thought it would be.

Tarte Maracuja Cheek Tint - £20.00
I love Tarte products and especially that they keep making a reappearance in this box. This cheek tint includes a lot of nice ingredients such as, maracuja oil, sodium hyaluronate, ginseng root extract, mineral pigments and camellia extract. The colour is called Sheer Red, and it is quite a orange based red which had me doubtful that it would work with my skin tone. You definitely do not  need a full pump with this, Id say only a 1/4 of a pump. And to my surprise this is also a very wearable colour, it blends fabulously, has a wonderful cooling effect and just leaves you with nice flushed cheeks. I think I'm going to love this product.

Estee Lauder Pure Colour Lipstick- Pinkberry- £21.99
Another brand I have wanted to try for a long time, I've heard such great things about their lip products in the past, and the name pinkberry just sounds perfect. Although on my lips its a pinky nude. I think this might actually be my perfect nude lipstick as it is only slightly darer then my natural lip colour but the same tone. It feels very creamy and hydrating on my lips and it is supposed to be long lasting

Essie Millionails Treatment £9.99
I do not really get on with Essies nail polishes, but i am excited to try this as i do have very brittle nails, that never grow to any great length.

Look Incredible January 2016

I was so excited to receive another one of the look incredible boxes. I just love the brands the put in there and that fact that the products are full size and things that you would actually want to use.

Bareminerals Redness Remedy
This is a fascinating product, it is a bright yellow powder that is used as a skincare item that it supposed to reduce redness over time. I was using this, but then something else i started using was breaking me out, so i stopped for a while in case it was this. I was not really using it for long enough to tell a difference, but it did make my face feel like velvet. I will for sure go back to using this once my skin has cleared up a bit more. It also comes with a brush that is so very soft and is apparently anti bacterial which i found quite impressive.

Bareminerals Flawless Definition Volumizing Mascara
I get along with a lot of mascaras, i do not really need them to do a lot for me, however, this one was just bad. It didn't do anything. I found it left my lashes looking shorter then they actually are ... How does that even happen? I think the product is just too dry to do anything good, also it smells awful.

Essie Nail Polish in Steel-ing The Scene
This is a really pretty colour, just like a silver chrome colour. However i do find that essie polishes always chip like crazy on me. Im going to keep it, and wear it because i think the colour is just so pretty.

Laura Geller Baked Impressions Blush in Mauve Mocha Latte
I love the name of this, also i love the print in the powder.. so pretty! The colour is just a perfect everyday, understated, will go with any make up look kind of colour. Again the powder is very smooth and bendable with fantastic pigment.

YSL Lip Twin
I have been really enjoying this, it is actually currently in my bag, On me it is a gorgeous mauve taupe colour and the purply gloss in the middle of the lip just add a little something, something. The lip stick is very pigmented, easy to apply and creamy just like all of the YSL lipsticks.

Cohorted January 2016

Oh boy did I love this month Cohorted box! I can not wait for the next box to come. There is something special about getting a beauty box with high end full size products in. So here is what was in this months box.

Too Faced Soul Mates in Carrie and Big
I was very happy to get this as it was in the December box which i was hoping to get but I signed up too late, so it was exciting to see this.  I am glad that I got this one instead as the bronzer is lighter and i have porcelain skin. I do find it a little difficult to pick up just that peach colour so i tend to swirl it around with a little bit of the bronzer and the colour is a very pretty bronzy peach that is perfect for when i want a subtle blush colour. The power is really smooth and i don not need to do a lot of blending when applying this also the packaging is very cute

Lancome Corrector Pro Palette
This is probably my most used product from this month. The corrector is too dark for me but i find if i apply a little bit under my foundation then the concealer over the top of my foundation this works perfectly. These are the nicest cream concealers i have ever used. The cream is just.... silky? So easy to apply and blend and it does not crease or wear off. Love this product!

Too Faced Lip Injection Color Bomb Lip Tint
Firstly the colour of this is gorgeous, i really love deep berry colour lips. But i have read loads of reviews on this months Cohorted Box (does anyone else read reviews by the tonnes on things they have bought just so see what everyone else thinks of it?) and not one person have mentioned how much this product hurts! Its a lip plumping lip tint so it has that tingle, however, to me it isnt a tingly. I may be just a wimp but to me is it a intense sting, followed by numbness, followed by the feeling of hundreds of needles pricking me in the lips..over..and over... and over again. I've worn this once and felt i could not deal with it.  Also i have quite full lips so it did not really plump them either.

Cargo Lip Gloss Quad.
I have never used a product for Cargo before, but i really do like this. The glosses are really pretty girly colours, while they do not have much pigmentation they are lovely to wear over a similar lip colour. These feel kind of wet on the lips, which is how i want a lip gloss to feel, not sticky.

Glossybox January 2016

This was my last Glossy box I will be receiving, and im kind of glad. While the products aren't bad my other two subscriptions are just so much more exciting. Here is what was in my box and what I thought of them.

Madala Cellular Repair Serum. -
This is actually for aging skin, and I am not quite there yet! This is a pale green, which is interesting, but I didn't really feel like this did anything. Probably more because I am not it's targeted user.

Unani Dermo Defense Face Mask
I was really excited when I saw this, it is meant to be protecting, hydrating and to remove impurities. I didn't find that it did any of these things. It goes on quite sticky and takes a little while to sink in, then nothing. I have very dry skin so maybe it just was not hydrating for me, but I found this product to be quite the let down.

Glossy box Eye shadow - Mauve
Another product I was quite excited to see, I love the colour, as I really do enjoy taupe's. And this goes on the eyelid a really nice shade and then.. it disappears...

Teeez Cosmetics Oasis Gem Lipstick.
Just look at the packaging, isn't it amazing. I also really love the coral colour mine came in, I found it to go on the lips really nicely. It is a lovely satin matt finish and last for ages on my lips. The only problem with this is that the product falls out of the bullet every time I use it, which is a shame otherwise I am  very happy with this product.

Angele Paris Nail Polish
I love nail polishes, unfortunately reds just do not suit me, so I haven't even tried this one.

What I Got For Christmas 2015

What I got for Christmas 2015

I had such a wonderful Christmas this year, spending time with people I love and good food. I love reading the ' what I got for Christmas' posts so I thought it would be fun to write one as my own.

Popcorn Maker

My Nan bought me this but as she had already bought be a few things she decided that this one was from santa.  It also had some corn kernals (I'm sure thats wrong, but hopefully you get what I mean). I love popcorn and being on a diet something to make plain popcorn will be perfect. I can't wait to try this out.
Disney Showcase Tinkerbell
Next are a couple of presents from my fiance, Mattie, I have been collecting the Disney showcase princess ornaments for a little while now and these are the latest two he got me. They are all so well designed and beautiful. I love Tinkerbell with the glittery wings and Aurora has roses down the back of her dress, which I did forget to photograph, but it is gorgeous. I would recommend going too see these at H Samuels if you are a Disney princess fan as they really are stunning.
Disney Showcase Aurora
Thermal Tights and panda slipper socks
Next from my Nan are these cute little dog or panda? socks and a pair of thermal tights. I love thermal tights, they are so snuggly and warm and best of all they aren't see through.
Sanctuary Spa gift set
I was not expecting this present from my nan as she also gave us spending money. But this is the big Sanctuary Spa set. I love Sancturay spa so much, all of their smells are just so calming to me and never fail to send me to sleep at night. It came with 3 little candles in their original scent that I have been burning at night and I have honestly been having the best sleeps.
Owl Sewing kit
How cute is this little owl sewing set. This was one of my stocking presents from Mattie.  I love owls, a lot, and Im also quite into crafting. I just love this little guy and he has a proud spot on my bedside unit.
Sanctury Spa Candle
This just like the other little candles I mentioned earlier is a gorgeous scent. Also from Sancturay spa. This has a slightly more fruity scent but it is still one I find very calming and relaxing.
Bath Fizzers
Since Mattie introduced me to bath bombs/fizzers about 6 years ago I have been obsessed with them. We don't actually have a bath in our bungalow but these will be a lovely treat when we go to peoples houses to steal baths every now and then.
Sweets
Of course everyone gets sweets at Christmas. Ive been eating these nice a slowly, just a couple when that sweet tooth hits.
Top
This top is from my Mum, I really love the collar on this. And this suits me a lot more then I originally thought it would.
Soap and glory body butter set
Another stocking present from Mattie. I love soap and glory, Im not sure there is anyone who doesn't. Their body butters are so lovely and leave my skin so soft and silky. My favorite is the Smoothies one, pistachio and vanilla together? oh be still my beating heart.
Hot water bottle and owl hand warmers
How cute are those little hand warmers. Honestly I only asked for them because they are owls, my hands are actually usually pretty warm but these will be lovely for those super cold days. I get really bad  monthly cramps so a water bottle is pretty essential to me, and after having the same one for probably 20 years I felt like it was time to ask for a new one. I love the fluffy cover on this, it just makes it extra cozy.
Kitty Cross stitch
My dad always gets me a cross stitch for Christmas and i think this one is so adorable and sums my life up perfectly.
Soap and glory gift set
Another soap and glory set. It's actually been years since I got soap and glory sets, so I'm super happy to have some now.
Websters 2015 planner and ted baker mini pens
This is last years planner, but bear with me on this. I have wanted a Websters planner for ages, but they have not released the 2016 ones over here yet. But I actually don't use my planners as actually planners but rather I like to use them as gratitude diary's so really the year on it isn't a issue for me. I had a kikki-k A5 one last year and honestly while I loved it, it was just too big and heavy for me. This size is so much more comfortable and I still feel like I have plenty of room to write. These planners are super cute inside aswell, there are plenty of blogs and youtube videos that you can look at to see inside this.  I also got those 3 super cute pens from Ted Baker, although I was hoping the ink would be the same colour as the pen casing but alas they are all black.
Models own nail polish set
I mostly asked for this for the rose gold chrome polish, but I do also really like all of the other colours. These apply weirdly for me though, I found that the colours them self are very pigmented but they apply streaky so it takes about 3 coats to get a nice even colour.
Winnie the pooh pj set
I originally did not want pj's for Christmas as I have so many of them, but I love these, they are so cute and cozy and as the temperature has suddenly dropped here in the UK these have been my best friend.

I hope you all had a lovely festive period.

LA Splash Haul

I am a little bit Liquid Lipstick, and Matte Lipstick crazy at the moment and it seems to be all im buying.  I just love how long they last on and they seem to make my lips look a whole lot nicer then if I was to wear a normal lipstick.

Studio Shine lip lustre Athena (Nala)
I love this shade, it is just the perfect nude shade for me a nice mix of pink and peach with a light shimmer. This one is very easy to apply and once dry is very comfortable on the lips, without any flaking.

Studio Shine lip lustre Evil Queen (madusa)
I love the swatched and instagram, pinterest pictures of this shade online, however mine is quite goopy and hard to apply, i also found that rather then being a lovely deep purple red with gold glitter, on my lips it looked black from it being so goopy.  And also i found this one to be a lot more drying then the Nala shade and it flaked badly when i tried adding a lip balm over the top. But i am going to try some more ways of wearing this shade as it looks like it could be so beautiful.  So I wore this one a little different then I would usually wear a liquid lipstick. I applied a thick coat of concealer over the top of lip balm to my lips, as I do have quite pigmented lips, I then applied the lipstick in a very thin coat and it came out beautiful, exactly what i wanted the colour to be.

Lip Couture Ghoulish
While this one isn't a exact dupe for the Lime Crime Cashmere, which in my opinion is much, much better.  I did really like this on my lips, its a lot more opaque then the lime crime but much more drying. I really do like this one on my lips though and it is still becoming a favorite.

Lip Contour OG Ghoulish
This is just like the Ghoulish but without those pink/purple undertones. Im not entirely sure this one suits me, I think a true grey could be more suited to a dark skintone as it just made me look a little more dead then I usually do.  I found it can be wearable if i just apply a thin layer as these are seriously pigmented. The one thing I did like about these was that when it started to fade it goes down to a lovely pinkish grey colour- now if only I could get it to be like that when i first apply it.

Are you into the grey lips trend?
